LEGACY OF HOPE

Steven Lavaggi’s connection to the message of hope and peace in his creations became more clear when his sister discovered a sculpture titled the “Angel of Hope”in a small chapel in Rome. from 1728, bearing the name Jacopo Lavaggi. This discovery sparked Steven’s interest in researching his family’s artistic heritage, revealing another remarkable work, “Allegory of Hope” by Giacomo Antonio Lavaggi, dated 1686. It was also during Steven’s showing at the NY Art Expo, that he met with Rene Lavaggi who was a “stone cutter/sculptor” originally from Italy. These findings were a surprising link to his ancestors’ .art, centered around the same message of hope that Steven now shares with the world.
What an amazing tradition of art, but what is most astounding is that Steven, who is called the “Artist of Hope” by millions of people, had no idea that this message of Hope preceded him down through the centuries, through the Lavaggi line of artists. and now continues in this new century, in our new world of global communications.

LAVAGGI'S ANGEL DESIGN

Lavaggi’s 21st-century symbol of an angel, at first glance, appears to be simple andunderstated. Further study reveals this angel to be elegant, fluid, and streamlined, which was the artist’s intent when designing it. It is a forward-leaning, progressive, futuristic angel design. This angel appeals to such a vast spectrum of people in that itis not perceived as a religious symbol as much as it is an inspirational one. This allowsevery viewer to discover the personal meaning within themselves as to what thisvision represents.
The “Angels of Reconciliation” symbolize hope, unity, and global reconciliation—values that resonate across cultures and faiths. Though angels are acknowledged in many religious texts, Lavaggi’s design transcends these boundaries, encouraging people to focus on what unites us rather than what divides us. In a world seeking peace and reassurance, this symbol offers a message of hope for the times we live in.
